MUNICH, Germany – Aigora has initiated a collaboration with Sanofi to make real-world data more accessible for pharmaceutical research and development. The collaboration follows Aigora’s selection for Sanofi’s iDEA-iTECH Awards, a programme that supports emerging companies whose data science solutions can strengthen the R&D pipeline.
Real-world data plays an increasingly important role in drug development, from understanding diseases and patient populations to generating evidence that complements clinical trials. However, relevant data is often spread across many institutions and recorded in different ways, which makes it difficult to access and use at scale.
Within the collaboration, Aigora works with Sanofi to translate research needs into concrete data requirements. Aigora then identifies suitable data within its clinical network and curates it so it can be used reliably for pharmaceutical research and development.
